Vendic Forge
Located in the same solar system as Satir, Vendic Forge is a heavy mining world surrounded by three separate rings of mineral-rich asteroids. The surface is not capable of supporting life, so the ancestral STC colonists constructed many orbital stations and vast underground mining labyrinths with artificial life support. During the millennia of warp-storm isolation, Vendic and Satir survived by means of their (albeit one-sided) cooperation. The descendants of the original Vendican colonists used their superior technology to keep Satir a backward planet, suitable as a source of cheap manual labor as well as abundant food and water.
A mere century ago the storms abated, and Vendic Forge was immediately reclaimed by the Adeptus Mechanicus as one of their forge worlds. Although much of the STC technology did not survive the period of isolation, who knows what ancient secrets they might be digging up in the bottomless depths of the mines? Vendic Forge now churns out weapons and equipment for the armies of the Third War of Gothimos, including the newly founded 1st Satiran Conscript Fusiliers. Vendic Forge also maintains its own mechanized regiment, the Vendican Dragoons.
